East Price Hill Community Center

Times will vary

  • One on one tutoring for bilingual students (Spanish)
  • Plan and lead activities for children of our Women’s Community Gardening group (every Tuesday 9:00am – 11:30am)
  • Bilingual (Spanish) interpreters to work with families
  • Tutor ESL (English as a Second Language) students beginning in fall session
Hold a “Drive” for Food, Clothing, PPE, Books, Games, School Supplies and more

Timing coordinated with lead volunteer for Drive

Family Centered Services

Times will vary

  • Picking up donated diapers on second Tuesday of each month and sorting them for distribution to families
  • Virtual tutoring for current and past students of our Preschoolers on Point (POP) program, pre-K-3rd grade 
Help with Organization and Clean-up at East Price Hill Community Center

Any time during the week convenient for interested volunteers.

Workforce Development Center

Time flexible

  • Assist caseworkers/coaches to reach out to clients to support them through stability
  • Assist work coaches with client follow-up
  • Assist clients with job/interview skills
  • Tutor Spanish-speaking GED students – must be fluent in Spanish
  • Volunteer to teach ESL classes next session beginning January 9, 2023 through March 18, 2023. We’re looking for teachers for Monday and Wednesday 10 a.m. -11 a.m. for a virtual class; Tuesday and Thursday 6-8 p.m. for an in-person class and Tuesday and Thursday 6:30-7:30 p.m. for a virtual class
Overall Agency Needs

  • Maintenance projects & landscaping
  • Do you have any special talents, skills or experience you’d like to share? Please let Lucienne know.
  • Childcare for meetings
  • Hospitality/food sponsorship for meetings
  • VITA Tax Prep Greeters running tax documents from clients in the Schaefer Center parking lot at Elder High School to the tax preparers inside from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. each Saturday beginning February 4, 2023 and ending March 18, 2023
  • Assist at Santa Maria events
    • Health Fair on Saturday, April 15th 2023
Tutoring at East Price Hill Community Center (Could also be a one-time opportunity)

    • Bilingual (Spanish) tutors for ESL/GED virtual tutoring sessions
